Samuel Lino has been voted Flamengo’s most important player of the season so far. According to Globo.com, he topped a ge supporters’ poll with 54.13 percent.

The forward’s advantage followed decisive contributions in the Conmebol Libertadores and the Brasileirão.

Arrascaeta was second with 13.83 percent, with Pedro third on 12.73 percent.

Bruno Henrique, Pulgar, Léo Pereira, Lucas Paquetá and Léo Ortiz completed the list, none reaching 10 percent.

Under pressure to recruit, Flamengo found their biggest boost this season came from within. After a mixed first year, Lino settled and, the standout of the Leonardo Jardim era, has reached double figures for goals and assists in 2026.

Improving the number 16 was set as an early-season target under Filipe Luís. With a full pre-season and an individual development plan, he has thrived in Jardim’s approach, operating between the lines, wide and centrally, and becoming a trusted option.

Lino was also called up by Brazil for this month’s FIFA window and featured in the friendly against Australia.
