San Lorenzo’s audit commission has served notice to president Marcelo Moretti to convene a formal board meeting and refrain from taking on new financial obligations, according to Radiogol.com.

The act, signed by Sebastián Santiago Ruiz, Adriana Gastaldi, Marcelo Meis, Mariano Lomolino and Miriam Peral, instructs Moretti to comply with a Civil Chamber Sala B ruling by setting a date, time, format and agenda in line with the club’s statutes.

Moretti lost his position in mid September amid a leadership vacuum on the board. The Civil Chamber later ruled that vacancy irregular and restored him to office. The court also ordered a new meeting within 15 days, which has not happened.

The oversight body added that any new obligations taken on in this period will be deemed the exclusive responsibility of those who adopt them.

Before this move, pro-treasurer Carina Farías took leave until a board meeting is convened. With secretary general Martín Cigna, an opponent of Moretti, also withholding his signature, the club cannot execute contracts because two of three signatories are required.
