San Lorenzo's Tribunal de Ética y Disciplina has suspended Néstor Ortigoza's club membership for one year after finding breaches of the social statute, according to Agencia Noticias Argentinas.

The ruling stems from two specific provisions in the club's internal rules. The first allows sanctions for members who have received a conviction from a competent authority, or whose public conduct harms the club's image or interests.

The second covers any act or omission that contradicts the law, the statute, or decisions by the Asamblea de Representantes or the Comisión Directiva, provided the matter has significant public impact.

The statute defines such impact as a situation that becomes public, is carried by the media, and extends beyond the club's internal sphere into general awareness.

After reviewing the case history, the tribunal concluded these breaches applied and imposed a one-year suspension. During this period, Ortigoza cannot exercise his membership rights.

The decision falls within the disciplinary powers set out in the statute and signals the standards of conduct expected in the club's social life.
