Almost four months after the ugly scenes at the Vallecas Stadium, it seems justice is finally catching up.
The Commission against Violence in Sport has proposed a fine of €1,500 for a Rayo Vallecano fan who prevented FC Barcelona stars Alejandro Balde and Frenkie de Jong from gifting their shirts to young supporters in the stands, reports Mundo Deportivo.
The event took place on August 31, 2025, during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano.
When the match concluded, Alejandro Balde and Frenkie de Jong approached the stands to hand their match-worn jerseys to children who had requested them. However, they were stopped by an aggressive fan.
It was yet another disappointing moment for Spanish football, which has already struggled with racism across the country’s top stadiums.

According to the report submitted by the National Police’s Information Brigade in Madrid, the individual has been identified as a member of the radical group Bukaneros.
Bukaneros are, in fact, one of the most radical and politically motivated ultras at Rayo Vallecano.
Television footage from the day captured the supporter berating the children and threatening to confiscate the shirts if they were handed over. “Go away! If you give them to them, we’ll take them back!” the fan was heard shouting.
The hostility forced the players to retreat. De Jong was seen walking towards the tunnel, visibly upset.
This was not the only incident of the game, as the match also witnessed the VAR technology malfunctioning at certain points, adding to the embarrassment of Spanish football.
