FC Porto have reached an agreement in principle with Milan to sign Santiago Giménez. According to O Jogo, the move is well advanced after fresh progress.

Talks in recent hours proved decisive in unlocking his addition to Porto’s 2026/27 squad. Negotiations focused on a transfer for the forward from the Italian club.

Giménez has long indicated he wanted to join the national champions and is ready to travel to Portugal, having fallen out of Rúben Amorim’s plans at Milan. The 25-year-old arrived at San Siro in 2024/25 after impressing for Feyenoord in the Netherlands.

Final details could still change, but he is set to arrive at the Dragão on a loan without a fee. The deal includes an option to buy for 18 million euros plus bonuses, which could become obligatory depending on appearances and specified objectives.

The intention is to complete the remaining paperwork by Monday if negotiations continue on track.
