Santos agree mutual termination with Zé Rafael

Santos have reached an agreement with midfielder Zé Rafael to terminate his contract. The bilateral split should be registered in the CBF daily bulletin in the coming hours, confirming his exit.

According to Globo.com, the club, unable to sign players in this window due to a FIFA transfer ban, are focusing on settling outstanding issues with those outside the plans.

Santos will assume overdue payments owed to Zé Rafael, including months of image rights, and will compensate him for the early end of the deal.

The payout will be lower than the value of the remaining term, which ran until December 2027.

Zé Rafael joined last year with the expectation of being a starter but never cemented a place. He made 12 appearances this season and scored one goal.
