Santos have received FIFA Quality Pro certification, placing CT Rei Pelé among a select group of officially referenced training pitches. According to Diario Do Peixe, field one will appear on the FIFA website as a quality benchmark, reflecting the club’s commitment to technology, innovation and high technical standards.
Alessandro Oliveira, president of Soccer Grass Pisos Esportivos, said the facility had been fitted with cutting-edge solutions and underwent tests drawn from natural grass fields. These included ball bounce, traction, rotation, flatness and impact absorption, and he stated that Santos had met the standards of major stadiums and arenas worldwide.
Field one now uses the Soccer Grass HD Organic Pro system, designed for greater durability, reduced maintenance and ideal conditions for daily training. It retains the look and softness of natural grass, with cushioning and traction technology that reduces injury risk and ensures a uniform surface, a decisive factor for player performance.
Soccer Grass has operated for more than 30 years and tends pitches at Allianz Parque and Arena Condá, both bearing the FIFA Quality Pro seal, as well as several stadiums and training centres across Brazil and the FIFA Legacy project.
It has installed more than seven million square metres of sports surfaces in Brazil and the United States. The company currently has the most FIFA-approved pitches in the country, with more than 25 FIFA certifications completed and further projects in final testing.
