In the Sudamericana, Santos banked US$ 500,000 for reaching the play-offs after finishing Group D runners-up, sealed by a 3-0 win over Deportivo Cuenca at Vila Belmiro. A group-stage victory added US$ 125,000, then eliminating Universidad Central da Venezuela brought US$ 600,000 for the last 16.

Should they advance, the quarter-finals pay US$ 700,000 and the semi-finals US$ 800,000. The runners-up receive US$ 2.5 million and the champions US$ 10 million.

In the Copa do Brasil, Santos earned R$ two million in the fifth phase by beating Coritiba and R$ three million against Remo in the last 16. A further R$ four million is guaranteed for reaching the quarter-finals.

If they reach the semi-finals, the payout is R$ nine million. The runners-up collect R$ 34 million and the winners R$ 78 million.
