Santos' Deliberative Council meeting on Monday night was suspended after complaints from opponents of Marcelo Teixeira's administration.

The club said in a statement that the Management Committee lodged the requested paperwork with the Fiscal Council, including accounts for the first two quarters of 2026, and that documents were available for in-person review after a 20 August notice.

The session had been convened to outline financial issues and clarify football operations, but 42 councillors contended the three-day pre-meeting access rule was not met.

Opponents also targeted Alexandre Mattos for joining remotely, against the requirement that the football executive attend in person at Vila Belmiro.

The next council meeting will be held exclusively in person to ensure confidentiality.
