Santos carved out the better openings at Vila Belmiro but Gabigol failed to finish, leaving the spot to be settled in Belém.

According to Globo.com, Barreal impressed before the interval, hitting the post and slipping a pass that might have yielded a Gabigol goal. Neymar operated mainly from the left, drove to the byline and created chances, though his one v one work faltered at times and his recovery runs were slow.

At the back, Lucas Veríssimo was largely assured as Remo broke through the middle on counters. Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão had little to do, then produced a crucial close-range stop from Alef Manga after the break. João Ananias took an elbow to the face early on but continued and performed reliably.

Rollheiser struggled with touch and choices and was withdrawn at half-time, as was Igor Vinícius after a quiet display. Gabriel Menino entered alertly, delivering a dangerous corner that Oliva headed well, only for the keeper to parry. Escobar offered defensive solidity with limited thrust, improving after the interval.

Caballero had a subdued outing. Thaciano arrived late to lead the line, pushing Neymar deeper and tracking back more than the number 10. Adonis Frías and Rony came on in stoppage time and had minimal impact.

Cuca started with an attack-heavy line-up that left midfield imbalanced and exposed to counters, though Santos enjoyed decent first-half volume. He adjusted after the break.
