Santos have not released centre-back Marcelo Contreras and playmaker Miguelito for Bolivia’s late-January friendlies, as the dates are outside a FIFA window. Contreras remains available for the Copa São Paulo, while Miguelito is training under coach Vojvoda.

According to Diario Do Peixe, La Verde face Panama on Sunday 18 and Mexico on Sunday 25, both in Mexico.

In qualifying, Bolivia finished seventh and are in a play-off for a World Cup place. If they win, they face Iraq on 31 March. If they lose either of the two games, they are out.

Beyond Miguelito, Bolivia are also not expected to have forward Enzo Monteiro. He was called up, but arrived in South Korea on Tuesday 13 and Chungbuk Cheongju, where he is on loan from Santos, are also unlikely to release him.

Miguelito is registered in Santos’ Lista A for the Paulistão and was on the bench for the opener against Novorizontino at Vila Belmiro. He is the only player returning from loan.

Contreras is in his final year at youth level with Santos. Miguelito is contracted until 24 April 2027, Enzo until December 2027, and the defender until 30 June 2027.
