Santos fined R$ 10,000 for delay in 3-2 defeat to Fluminense | OneFootball

Santos have been fined R$ 10,000 by the STJD for delays during their 3-2 home defeat to Fluminense on 19 April. According to Diario Do Peixe, the sanction was set at R$ 1,000 per minute, with two minutes in the first half and eight in the second.

The sixth Disciplinary Commission ruled unanimously via auditor Pedro Perdiz and vice-president Eduardo Ramos, and Fluminense were also fined R$ 2,000. The match report recorded Santos nine minutes late before kick-off and three minutes late after the interval, while Fluminense were on time for the first half but three minutes late for the second.

Referee Wilton Pereira Sampaio said kick-off was delayed by eight minutes because the hosts did not appear in the tunnel for the pre-match protocol. A further two-minute delay followed at the restart as both teams returned late. Assistant Bruno Raphael Pires went to the home dressing room to hurry the players.

This ruling takes Santos’ 2026 fines to R$ 51,000. Earlier penalties included R$ 3,000 against São Paulo, R$ 6,000 against Corinthians, R$ 9,000 against Coritiba, R$ 6,000 against Palmeiras, and further sums against Remo, Bahia, Flamengo, Athletico-PR, Bragantino and Chapecoense.

Elsewhere in 2026, the STJD rejected a bid to annul the Coritiba match, archived a case involving Luan Peres against Corinthians, and warned Barreal in that fixture. Santos were also fined R$ 8,000 for objects thrown against Atlético-MG, and Gabriel Barbosa received a one-match ban for an obscene gesture against Vitória.
