Santos have been fined R$ 2,000 by the STJD for a late restart in the 2-2 draw with Chapecoense at Vila Belmiro in round 20 on Saturday 25.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the 5th Disciplinary Commission ruled on Friday 31, applying R$ 1,000 per minute of effective delay.

The match report noted no delay before half-time. In the second half only Santos were late back by three minutes, which produced a two-minute delay to the restart.

Auditor Renata Baldez, rapporteurs Ramon Rocha, Raoni Lacerda and Antônio Brandão, and president Paulo Ceo voted unanimously. This takes the club’s fines in 2026 to R$ 41,000.

Fines for delays this year were R$ 3,000 vs São Paulo, R$ 6,000 vs Corinthians, R$ 9,000 vs Coritiba, R$ 6,000 vs Palmeiras, R$ 4,000 vs Remo, R$ 3,000 vs Bahia, R$ 2,000 vs Flamengo, R$ 4,000 vs Athletico-PR, R$ 2,000 vs Bragantino and R$ 2,000 vs Chapecoense.

The STJD rejected a request to annul the match against Coritiba, archived a Luan Peres case involving Corinthians and warned Barreal in the Coritiba game. Cuca, assistant Cuquinha and coordinator Leo Bastos were cautioned, while Vojvoda and assistant Gastón Liendo were cleared.

Santos were fined a further R$ 8,000 over objects thrown against Atlético-MG, R$ 4,000 for a cardboard ball, R$ 3,000 for a cup and R$ 1,000 for a wet paper ball. Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão was cautioned for remarks about referee Raphael Claus, and Gabriel Barbosa was banned for one match for an obscene gesture against Vitória.
