Santos have been fined R$ 2,000 by the STJD’s third disciplinary commission for delaying the second half restart in their 2-0 win over Red Bull Bragantino at Vila Belmiro on 10 May, taking this year’s delay penalties to R$ 39,000.
According to Diario Do Peixe, the club were charged under article 206 of the CBJD, which penalises causing a match to start or restart late with fines of R$ 100 to R$ 1,000 per minute.
Referee Alex Gomes Stefano recorded that Santos returned to the pitch three minutes late, resulting in a two-minute delay to the restart. The official match report also noted the delay.
Earlier in 2026, Santos were fined R$ 3,000 against São Paulo, R$ 6,000 against Corinthians, R$ 9,000 against Coritiba, R$ 6,000 against Palmeiras, R$ 4,000 against Remo, R$ 3,000 against Bahia, R$ 2,000 against Flamengo and R$ 4,000 against Athletico-PR, plus R$ 2,000 for the Bragantino match.
The STJD also rejected a request to annul the match against Coritiba, archived a Luan Peres case involving Corinthians and issued a warning to Barreal in the Coritiba game. Coach Cuca, assistant Cuquinha and coordinator Leo Bastos were warned, while coach Vojvoda and assistant Gastón Liendo were acquitted.
Separately, the club were fined R$ 8,000 for objects thrown during the Atlético-MG game, comprising R$ 4,000 for a cardboard ball, R$ 3,000 for a cup and R$ 1,000 for a wet paper ball. Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão received a warning for comments about referee Raphael Claus, and forward Gabriel Barbosa was suspended for one match for an obscene gesture against Vitória.
