Santos in talks to sign Fluminense midfielder Lima on loan | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos are negotiating a loan deal for Fluminense midfielder Lima until December, with an option to renew. He is understood to be willing to reduce part of his salary to join.

Head coach Cuca is considering using him as a number eight. Santos first made enquiries about the player in December last year.

After settling their transfer ban with support from NR Sports last week, Santos confirmed the signings of midfielder Arthur Melo and right-back Rodinei. The transfer window closes on Friday 11.

Born in Araçatuba, Vinícius Moreira de Lima turned 30 in June. He came through at Tanabi before moving to Grêmio, where he reached the first team.

During his time at Grêmio, he had loans at Mallorca B in Spain, Ceará and Al-Wasl in the United Arab Emirates.

He later joined Ceará permanently, then moved to Fluminense. Earlier this year he was loaned to América in Mexico, but fell out of favour and terminated the deal.
