According to Globo.com, Santos have loaned left-back Kevyson, 21, to Ponte Preta on a deal running until the end of the season.
The defender reported to Moisés Lucarelli on Wednesday for medical tests and to begin integrating with Marcelo Fernandes’s squad, having previously worked with the coach at Vila Belmiro.
Brought through by Santos in 2022, he broke into the first team in 2023 and made 18 appearances. In 2024 he lost minutes and was loaned to Sport, for whom he played nine times last season.
His arrival addresses a shortage at left-back. Ponte Preta have been improvising while Danilo Barcelos recovers from injury, with only Jean Carlos available in the role.
The reinforcement comes amid a difficult spell for the Campinas club, who are dealing with financial problems, squad departures and a fight to climb the Campeonato Paulista table. After five rounds, the Macaca sit bottom with one point.
Ponte’s next match is the dérbi 213 against Guarani on Saturday at 16:00 at the Brinco de Ouro. The expectation is that Kevyson and Jonathan Cafú, returning after 12 years away, will be available to the coaching staff.
