Santos post season-low profit and crowd in 2-1 win over Vasco

Santos recorded their lowest crowd and profit of the season despite beating Vasco 2-1 at Vila Belmiro in the fourth round of the Brasileirão.
According to Diario Do Peixe, the match drew 8.808 spectators and generated gate receipts of R$ 539.319,33, resulting in a net profit of R$ 180.402,44.
The financial report showed total outgoings of R$ 358.916,89, split between R$ 281,86 on rentals and insurance, R$ 55.548,74 in taxes and fees, and R$ 303.086,29 in operational costs.
For comparison, Santos’ other home game in the Brasileirão, the 1-1 draw with São Paulo, brought in 10.280 fans and yielded R$ 240.744,15.
The club’s biggest profit so far is R$ 804.695,11 from the 0-0 draw with Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena, which also delivered the season’s highest attendance of 30.609.
