Santos beat Bragantino 2-0 in the 15th round of the 2026 Brasileiro, Neymar scoring and Barreal impressing as Cuca’s side found fluency.

According to Globo.com, Barreal was the standout in attack, with centre-back Adonis Frías and goalkeeper Diógenes also praised.

Neymar opened the scoring after slick link-up with Gabriel Bontempo, finishing with composure.

A rehearsed routine then produced the second, Neymar starting the move and Barreal setting up Frías to seal it.

Diógenes made a crucial one-on-one save from Herrera at 0-0, later denying Mosquera while deputising for Gabriel Brazão.

Lucas Veríssimo was assured against Pitta, though Igor Vinícius struggled on the right and was targeted after the interval. Escobar initially left gaps against Herrera but improved, combining higher up with Barreal and Neymar.

João Schmidt was busy and involved in the set-piece for the second. Oliva worked hard but tired, with Willian Arão helping to steady midfield. Rollheiser threaded incisive passes, while Rony pressed diligently without end product.

Late on, Moisés, Miguelito and Gabriel featured, the latter almost sparking a counter with Miguelito as Neymar departed to applause. Cuca’s call to push Neymar higher paid off, and a lighter shape featuring Barreal drew a positive response.
