Santos will welcome five players back for Tuesday’s Copa Sudamericana group match against San Lorenzo at Estadio Pedro Bidegain, at 19:00. Coach Cuca regains options after the weekend draw with Bahia.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the travelling party to Buenos Aires will include Neymar, Gabriel Barbosa, goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão, midfielder Willian Arão and right-back Igor Vinícius. The quintet stayed in Santos on Saturday and completed a technical session at CT Rei Pelé on Sunday 26.

Meanwhile, the group that was in Salvador began recovery work at Vitória’s CT Manoel Pontes Tanajura. Only those who did not start trained on the pitch, the starters remained at the hotel for gym-based regeneration.

The plan is for the Brazil-based players to link up with the squad in Buenos Aires on Monday, when the team will hold their final training session before the decisive fixture.

Santos sit bottom of Group four with one point from the first two rounds. An away result is regarded as crucial to keep them alive in the race for top spot, which secures direct qualification to the next phase.
