Santos have strung together consecutive away wins in the Campeonato Brasileiro, capped by victory at Corinthians, matching a sequence last achieved in 2025.
At home they drew with Chapecoense and Mirassol and lost to Athletico-PR, while away they have beaten Vasco then Corinthians, according to Globo.com.
Coach Cuca praised the moment, noting the recent sequence of a win at Vasco, a draw with Mirassol at Vila Belmiro, and a win at Corinthians. He asked how long it had been since Santos posted back-to-back away victories, and said those points are important for the campaign.
The last time Santos managed two straight away league wins was between late May and early June 2025 under Cleber Xavier, defeating Vitória and Fortaleza, the latter before the calendar paused for the Fifa Club World Cup.
The win over Corinthians moved Santos to 29 points and kept them 14th, while widening their cushion to the relegation zone to four points over Vasco, the first team inside it.
Next up is another away date, Internacional on Sunday at 16:00 Brasília time at Arena Beira-Rio. A victory would deliver their first sequence of three consecutive away league wins since 2019.
