Santos have been given four days off after a 2-1 win over Remo at Mangueirão in the 28th round of the Brasileirão. The squad returned to Baixada Santista and will report back to CT Rei Pelé on Thursday 24 in the afternoon to begin preparing for São Paulo.

The postponed clássico has been arranged for Friday two October at 20:00 at Morumbis, a 21st-round fixture set during an extended FIFA window. According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos will turn their focus to that meeting once training resumes.

Cuca’s staff will be without defender Luan Peres and attacking midfielder Gabriel Bontempo, both suspended after a third yellow card. Bontempo is currently with the Brazil national team.
