Santos are chasing their first back-to-back wins of 2026, having beaten Remo 2-0 after a month without a victory.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Cuca’s side have five wins from 18 matches this year, with seven draws and six defeats, a 40% return. They have triumphed over Novorizontino, Noroeste and Velo Clube in the Paulistão, and against Vasco and Remo in the Brasileiro.

They opened with a 2-1 win against Novorizontino, then lost 1-0 to Palmeiras. Later, when they returned to winning ways at Noroeste, they were beaten 2-1 by Athletico-PR next time out. Back in the state championship, they thrashed Velo Clube 6-0 before elimination by Novorizontino in the quarter-finals.

In Serie A, their first win came against Vasco, 2-1, then a 2-2 draw with Mirassol followed. A 1-1 with Corinthians and a 2-1 home loss to Internacional preceded a 0-0 at Cruzeiro, before the 2-0 over Remo.

Four of their five victories this year have been at Vila Belmiro. The only away success came at Noroeste in February.

To finally stitch a run together, they also need to end a two-month wait for an away win and claim their first Serie A victory on the road in 2026.
