Santos unveiled a new LED panel at Vila Belmiro during the 3-1 win over Vitória on Saturday 30, a Brasileirão round 18 fixture. The panel sits beneath the José Alencar stand, accessed via Gate 24.
According to Diario Do Peixe, the installation forms part of a partnership with Futuro Mídia first announced on 25 March last year. The club had outlined a plan for an LED panel below the executive boxes and above the Dom Pedro Social seats, reached via Gates one and two. It also trailed two new 35 metre scoreboards, potentially among the biggest in Brazil, plans that have not yet been completed.
For now, only the central section of the new LED is active, showing master sponsor Novibet and the club’s official app. The existing stadium screen measures 11 metres, with the new scoreboards planned to be 35 metres and positioned behind each goal alongside 269 metres of linear LEDs for sponsorship.
Futuro Mídia describes itself as an out-of-home media specialist working with leading Brazilian clubs. Executive Reginaldo Teixeira said the new equipment would deliver higher resolution and brightness than current systems and allow greater interaction with supporters. He thanked Santos officials Emerson Cholbi and president Marcelo Teixeira, adding that partnering with the club is a personal dream.
If Vila Belmiro is eventually demolished, the planned scoreboards would be repurposed at the CT Rei Pelé complex and in front of the club’s future development.
