Santos face Atlético Mineiro in the Brasileirão at Estádio Urbano Caldeira on Saturday, 11 April 2026, with the hosts seeking daylight above the drop and the visitors looking to consolidate their Copa Sudamericana push.
Recent meetings have been tight: Santos won 2-0 at home in April 2025 before a 1-1 draw away at Atlético Mineiro in September 2025.
Peixe arrive off back to back defeats, at Flamengo and in the Sudamericana at Dep. Cuenca, though a 2-0 home win over Remo earlier this month steadied things. Atlético-MG have strung together two league wins, including 4-0 at Chapecoense, before a midweek Sudamericana loss at Puerto Cabello.
The hosts are without Mayke, Gabriel Menino, Miguel Terceros and Vinicius Lira through injury, while Alvaro Barreal is suspended. Galo list Junior Alonso, Alan Minda, Patrick and Hendel Índio as injured.
Atlético-MG's away form has been patchy, with four league defeats on the road despite that Chapecoense result, so Galo may lean on Hulk and Gustavo Scarpa for incision. For the Alvinegro Praiano, Neymar and Gabriel Barbosa could provide the craft to trouble a reshuffled defence.
A home win would take Peixe to 13 points and could nudge them towards mid table and further from the relegation places. Victory for Galo would move them to 17 and strengthen their hold on the Sudamericana spots in a congested pack.
