Sao Paulo right back Maik has resumed full training after recovering from a thigh muscle injury, according to Arquibancada Tricolor. Returning to the Barra Funda training ground on Monday, the defender joined his teammates without restrictions and is now available for selection as the club prepares for upcoming fixtures.

Maik's absence had left Sao Paulo light in defensive options, but his return provides the coaching staff with increased flexibility on the flanks at a pivotal stretch of the season. Having taken part in all group activities, Maik's fitness has been cleared by the club's medical team, and he is expected to compete for a spot as the Tricolor continues its campaign.

The timing of Maik’s availability is encouraging for Sao Paulo, who recently secured a key win over Corinthians and climbed to 13th in the league. With Wendell recently impressing on the opposite side of defence, the possible inclusion of Maik could strengthen the team’s width and defensive solidity as they navigate the congested fixture schedule.

Maik had last played in late June before being sidelined. Now fully reintegrated with the squad, his recovery arrives ahead of a busy period in the national competition, giving head coach Hernán Crespo another option as he looks to build on recent momentum.
