Competition format

In the first phase of the Copinha, the teams in each group face each other in a single round. The first place in each group, along with the three best runners-up, regardless of the group they belong to, advance to the quarterfinals.

Group C, which includes São Paulo, also features Remo, América-MG, and Red Bull Bragantino.
