Deportivo Saprissa vs. Comunicaciones FC

Deportivo Saprissa hosts Comunicaciones FC at Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in San Juan de Tibás, Costa Rica.

The meeting will mark the 32nd overall encounter between the two sides. Saprissa leads the all-time series with 14 wins to 10 for Comunicaciones and seven draws.

Saprissa seeks to rally behind its home crowd to victory. The Costa Rican side will also look to extend its undefeated streak in Play-In matches, recording one win and two draws, and seal its 38th all-time participation in the Concacaf Champions Cup.

Javon East scored the Saprissa goal in the first leg, which marked the 300th goal in the history of the tournament. He leads the team with five goal contributions, with three goals and two assists.

Comunicaciones is also focused on advancing to the Concacaf Champions Cup for a second consecutive season and make its 29th overall participation. Diego Casas scored in the first leg, his third of the current campaign, and leads his team in scoring.

A winner would win the series on aggregate due to the first leg ending in a 1-1 draw. If the series ends in a draw, away goals will determine the winner. A repeat result from the first leg would force the series into extra time and penalties, if necessary.
