The Biancocelesti started their campaign on a shaky note, but they’re now unbeaten in their last four. After edging past Juventus on Sunday, the 66-year-old manager could be tempted to keep his starting lineup intact. But according to Il Messaggero, Sarri is considering making a couple of changes.

Luca Pellegrini & Manuel Lazzari Vying for Starting Role

While Adam Marusic is deemed too valuable to be dropped, it remains to be seen whether he’ll start on the left or the right side, as the decision hinges on the identity of the other full-back. After making his return from injury with a positive cameo at the weekend, Luca Pellegrini is now pushing for a starting role. The 26-year-old is considered the only natural left-back available in the absence of Nuno Tavares.

However, the source notes that Lazio’s technical staff were highly impressed by Manuel Lazzari who put on a solid showing against Juventus. Therefore, the former SPAL right-back remains the favorite to get the nod at Pellegrini’s expense.

The other potential change could ensue upfront, as Sarri might decide to rest Boulaye Dia, who’s still affected by an ankle problem that has been plaguing his performances for years, but has been forced to grit his teeth due to Taty Castellanos’ injury. Therefore, the manager could be tempted to field Pedro as a False 9 in the Senegalese’s stead, although this solution could be delayed to the second half.

At Least Nine Lazio Players Will Be Confirmed

On the other hand, the rest of the starting lineup should be confirmed, with Alessio Romagnoli and Mario Gila starting at the back, and Ivan Provedel behind them in goal. The midfield trio of Matteo Gunedouzi, Danilo Cataldi and Toma Basic will remain unchanged, while Gustav Isaksen and Mattia Zaccagni will take the wings.

Lazio Probable XI (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari (Pellegrini), Gila, Romagnoli; Marusic; Guendouzi, Cataldi, Basic; Isaksen, Dia (Pedro), Zaccagni
