Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez was among the goalscorers in Sunday’s remarkable 5-0 Serie A win over Sassuolo.
According to Tuttosport via FCinterNews, El Toro reached an important club milestone in yesterday’s one-sided affair at the Mapei Stadium.
The Nerazzurri completed only their third double over Sassuolo in their top-flight history, following a 2-1 win in September’s reverse fixture.
However, it was Inter’s third biggest-margin victory over the Neroverdi in Serie A after a pair of 7-0 wins in 2013 and 2014.

Federico Dimarco stole the show with a hat-trick of assists.
Despite failing to match the Italian wingback’s eye-catching numbers, Lautaro Martinez bolstered his personal agenda.
Indeed, El Toro drew level with Roberto Boninsegna as Inter’s third all-time top goalscorer, netting his 171st goal for the club.
Furthermore, the Argentine megastar has now scored in four consecutive Serie A games for the second time this season.
Therefore, he’ll likely be in high spirits when Juventus touch down at Stadio San Siro next weekend to put Inter’s Scudetto credentials to the test.
