Inter Milan swept Sassuolo aside with a commanding 5-0 win at the Mapei Stadium, stretching their lead at the top and delivering another statement performance in the title race.

One of the standout performers on the night was Federico Dimarco, who provided a stunning hat-trick of assists and earned the Man of the Match award.

Despite his decisive contribution, the Italian wing-back focused only on the team result when speaking to DAZN after the final whistle.

“We didn’t start very well. They scored when it was 2-0 and luckily it was ruled out,” Dimarco said, via FCInterNews.

“That’s fine. The important thing was to take home the three points. We did that and we’re happy.”

Dimarco also hit the woodwork and constantly threatened down the left, but he downplayed his individual display when asked about his form.

“On the shot that hit the bar, I didn’t strike it well,” he admitted.

“I don’t feel like I’m anyone special. In football, when you do well you’re a phenomenon, when you do badly you’re useless. In the end, team results matter, not personal ones.”

His humility summed up an Inter side fully focused on collective success as the season heads into its decisive phase.

It is one of the major improvements under Chivu, squad morale is clearly up and the results are there to prove it.
