Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali confirms Olympique Marseille and Fenerbahce are interested in Lazio target Armand Laurienté, setting the price-tag at ‘around €15-20m.’
The Neroverdi are forced to sell some of their big names this summer following the shock relegation from Serie A, so they will be in the second division this season.
The 25-year-old is one of the most likely to leave, as he is attracting a lot of attention, including links with Besiktas, Torino, Como, Cagliari, Parma and Southampton.
“A lot depends on the clubs who are asking for him, as Laurienté has quite a few proposals,” Sassuolo director general Carnevali told Sky Sport Italia.
“There is Marseille, but also Fenerbahce with Jose Mourinho, who was one of the first to step forward. We also must take into account the value of this lad, who is important for our team. There are lots of possibilities.”
Asked to set a price-tag on the player, Carnevali said “around €15-20m. We think that is the right figure, although I would almost be prepared to miss out on that sum if it meant keeping the player.
“If there is to be a sale, it must be congruous with what we consider to be his true value.”
There is the added issue that Sassuolo also owe his previous club FC Lorient 20 per cent of the profits from a sale, having signed him in 2022 for €10.1m.
Laurienté can play on the right or left attacking wings and scored 12 goals with 12 assists in 65 Serie A appearances.
