Serie A side Sassuolo have witnessed Tarik Muharemovic’s excellent rise to stardom this season. The club could be open to a sale for the right price in the summer, with Aston Villa, Tottenham, Inter and Juventus in the fray.
The Bosnian joined the Neroverdi from Juve initially on loan two seasons ago. After that, he joined them permanently and this is his first full season in the Italian top-flight. He has emerged as one of the league’s best defenders, impressing on and off the ball.
Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport the defender today. He made it clear the price tags will vary depending on the clubs that approach Muharemovic.
He said: “We haven’t put a value on him; we’ll evaluate whoever offers we receive. Whether from a big Italian club or a Premier League team, the values will vary. We’ll also see if anyone offers something in return.”
Carnevali revealed Sassuolo’s objective is to help players earn big moves.
“Our goal is to give these players the chance to join big clubs, but we’d also be happy to keep them.”
Reports in recent weeks – as Get Italian Football News have covered, point at a price tag of €25 million. It remains to be seen if the tag for English sides is higher due to their financial capacity. Juve have a sell-on clause worth 50 percent and this will impact their move as well.
