Valencia have begun to welcome players back from international duty, with Ryunosuke Sato the first to return to Paterna.
According to Superdeporte, the club flagged his arrival on social media after a camp in which he was again in Hajime Moriyasu's plans and gained minutes with Japan's senior side.
Sato was called up for fixtures against Uruguay, Venezuela and Ecuador, but he did not complete the entire camp. He started Japan's 2-1 win over Venezuela, playing the first 45 minutes before being released by the Japanese federation. Japan came from behind thanks to a brace from Ayase Ueda.
After that outing, he was cleared to return early to Valencia to slot back into Javier Aguirre's work as soon as possible.
Other internationals are still to report back over the coming days. For Sato, attention now turns to Paterna and the challenge of earning a place under Aguirre.
