As Ramadan approaches, set to run from February 17 to March 19, professional clubs must once again adjust their routines to help players maintain peak physical condition throughout the holy month. While this remains a delicate topic in Europe, it has become commonplace in several leagues, particularly in the Arab world, where such adaptations are now standard procedure.

Now the head coach of Neom SC in Saudi Arabia, Christophe Galtier addressed the subject in a press conference, striking a composed tone and steering clear of past controversies. The French manager stated:

"This is my third Ramadan in the Arab world, after two years in Qatar. I’d like to congratulate the Muslim community on this holy month."

Galtier also highlighted the sporting adjustments required:

"During Ramadan, we’ll be working to find the right physical and mental balance. The league has also been very cooperative in scheduling matches after iftar."
