Roma continues to work on the transfer market.

The latest name linked to the Giallorossi is Leo Sauer, a Slovakian winger born in 2005 and owned by Feyenoord.

The player’s father and agent, Július Sauer, shed light on the situation in an interview with the Slovakian portal TVNOVINY.sk.

“I read about Roma’s interest online, but at the moment there’s nothing hot enough to suggest an imminent signing.”

Feyenoord, according to his father, is aware of the youngster’s potential: “Leo has a contract with Feyenoord until 2028. The management sees his progress and has started negotiating a renewal. They sense strong interest from other clubs, so they want to secure him. That’s why it’s difficult to say whether he’ll leave.”

“It should be a combination of an offer and playing prospects, because he seems to have plenty of space at Feyenoord. We’re not pushing for a transfer at all costs.”

Regarding his transfer fee, Július Sauer added: “I believe that to convince Feyenoord to sell him, a very attractive offer of €15 million or more would have to arrive in the next two weeks, and I don’t know if anyone will make one in January.”

Furthermore, competition for Sauer is fierce, involving several top European clubs: “A top-five Bundesliga club has put him at the top of their list, and several Premier League clubs have inquired,” revealed his father-agent, also confirming that he turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia to prioritize his son’s development in Europe.
