Schalke 04 are interested in bringing back forward Darko Churlinov from Burnley, according to Sky Germany.
The North Macedonian previously spent last season on loan at Schalke where he helped the royal blues secure promotion back to the Bundesliga. During his time in Gelsenkirchen, the 22-year-old become somewhat of a fan favourite.
Churlinov then secured a move to Championship side Burnley in England from parent club VfB Stuttgart. Burnley are flying high in the second division and on the verge of securing promotion back into the Premier League. Despite this, head coach Vincent Kompany has only used the striker in cup matches this campaign.
This is something that Schalke have noticed and are now willing to bring Churlinov back on loan in the summer. As per the report, talks between the club and player’s representatives are due to take place in the near future.
Churlinov played 22 times for Schalke in his one season, scoring twice and assisting on four occasions.
