According to a report by Fußball Transfers, FC Schalke 04 are considering a move for VfB Stuttgart's Silas Katompa Mvumpa

While a deal for the 27-year-old is seemingly unlikely, his current deal with the Swabian giants only runs until the end of the season.

In order to prevent Silas leaving on a free transfer, Stuttgart would like to extend the right winger's expiring contract.

Nonetheless, Silas is keen to get back into the picture for DR Congo who could still qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Injury on loan at Crvena Zvezda last season meant he only regained fitness in October but has yet to find his way into Hoeneß' plans.

However, in addition to Schalke, two Bundesliga clubs in Werder Bremen and Hamburger SV are also said to have expressed interest.

The Gelsenkirchen outfit have also set their sights on Matteo Waem from Dutch second division side ADO Den Haag.

Contact has reportedly already been made with the central defender, who, as things stand, will be available on a free transfer.
