Schalke ‘to offer’ Dzeko new contract

Schalke 04 are prepared to table a new deal for Edin Dzeko, though the veteran striker is still weighing up his future, Bild reports.

The proposal includes a base salary of €900,000 per year, with bonuses that could lift his earnings to €1.3 million, which would place him among the club’s top earners.

Dzeko joined in January on a six-month contract as a free agent and hit six goals in 11 matches, helping secure promotion to the Bundesliga.

The Royal Blues want the 40-year-old to extend his stay for the 2026/27 campaign.

He is considering whether Schalke should be the final chapter of his career, and the club are not pressing him for a decision, giving him additional time.
