Andreas Schjelderup’s stock at Benfica has surged in recent weeks, with the winger in standout form and the club on alert. His rise gathered speed in January when he scored twice in a historic win over Real Madrid.
According to A Bola, the 21-year-old was the most sought after figure after the Netherlands match, giving multiple interviews in the mixed zone at Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam. The heightened exposure is pushing his valuation upward.
Since then he has become an undisputed option for José Mourinho, regularly influencing games.
His success is now drawing strong interest from clubs, and in recent days praise in Catalonia has highlighted his development and the work Mourinho has done with the Norwegian.
This season for Benfica, Andreas Schjelderup, valued at 14 million euros, has played 36 official games, 21 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 2,014 minutes, he has seven goals and four assists.
