Andreas Schjelderup’s future at Benfica remains unresolved, with the winger eyeing Italy even as he stays an option for José Mourinho.
According to A Bola, he views Serie A as the ideal destination, but talks with Parma have cooled and Roma, while considering him, have not made any significant move.
For now he continues working under Mourinho and hopes for another chance to impress on Wednesday, 21 January, against Juventus. He is determined to leave, yet remains unconvinced by the proposals received.
With the World Cup approaching, and Norway qualified, the need for regular minutes is a key factor. National coach Ståle Solbakken is monitoring his situation closely.
This season Schjelderup, valued at 14 million euros, has played 23 matches, 12 in Liga Portugal Betclic, six in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 1,047 minutes, he has scored two goals and provided three assists.
