3-1 victory v Jordan | Public Viewing for the next game

Austria kicked off the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a resounding victory – and Alex Schlager was right in the thick of it! Our goalkeeper guarded the Austrian goal today in the 3-1 win against Jordan in San Francisco, making a series of saves (three in total). The 30-year-old was powerless to stop the only goal conceded – a perfectly placed shot from Ali Olwan that struck the inside of the post.

With three points in the bag, Austria's World Cup journey continues next Monday. You can cheer them on together at the Red Bull Arena, as the match on 22 June at 19:00 CET will be shown in our stadium as an official public viewing event. You can find all the information here:
