Denmark were ahead two minutes into the first match – at Alkjaer Stadion in Ringkobing – through Cornelia Kramer, Mia McAulay levelling from the spot early in the second half.

Kramer got her second goal after the hour mark, Scotland were awarded a stoppage-time penalty but the opportunity to equalise was missed.

Sunday’s re-match at Skjern Stadion saw Eilidh Shore open the scoring after 14 minutes for the Scots and Maria McAneny doubled the advantage just before the break.

Denmark halved the deficit with a Signe Markvardsen reply on 65 minutes but the two-goal cushion was re-established through Kathleen McGovern in the last ten minutes.
