Scott Brown threatens Henrik Larsson with seven-iron after losing Celtic legends battle | OneFootball

Scott Brown has hilariously revealed his fury at losing to Celtic legend Henrik Larsson on the golf course before making a surprise appearance alongside the Swede in Glasgow.

Larsson was the headline attraction at ‘An Evening With Henrik Larsson & Friends’ at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Monday, joined by several of his former Hoops teammates including Johan Mjallby, John Hartson, Jackie McNamara and Alan Thompson.

But supporters were delighted when former Celtic captain Brown made an unexpected appearance on stage, bringing together two of the club’s most iconic figures of the 21st century.

Earlier in the day, Brown and Larsson had been playing golf together at Gleneagles, with NHM Media sharing a picture and writing: “Doesn’t get much better!

“Fair play to Team Larsson & Folland, Deserved Winners!”

Welcomed on stage by Shebahn Aherne later that evening, Brown explained: “I’ve got a few issues here.

“Today we played golf. I got a text saying Henrik’s playing off 8.8 [handicap]. That’s in Sweden.

“It’s a worldwide f—–g golf app. It’s not the Sweden golf app!

“Obviously, because he’s king Henrik… he missed 12 shots today. Write off 12 shots. I was off 9.9, a couple of other people…

“Last four holes, Henrik was one under. I was f—–g raging. Raging.

“So we got beat 2-1, I had a bad day at the office, but so did also my colleague who started this, and plays on plus two.

“He plays on plus two, and he got beat by Mr. Larsson.

“He’s good at football, right… see if he wasn’t coming here today, and I was still at Hibs? I’d have hit him with a seven-iron. “

Brown and Larsson are already familiar with sharing the Celtic stage, with the Swedish icon memorably returning to Parkhead to play in Brown’s testimonial against the Republic of Ireland in 2018.
