It was performed at Spire Hospital, Manchester. The technique targets small areas of heart tissue that trigger the arrhythmia, using heat or cold to render them harmless.

A timeframe has been set for his return to training, although no date has been given for competitive action.

The 29-year-old has scored 27 goals and provided 10 assists in 82 matches since joining in summer 2024. He was named Serie A’s best player in 2024-25.
