Seamus Coleman will leave Everton at the end of the season, bringing an emotional end to a 17-year spell at Goodison Park.
The 37-year-old joined the club from Sligo Rovers back in 2009 for just £60,000 and went on to become one of Everton’s most respected and reliable players of the Premier League era.
Coleman made 433 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions, including a club-record 372 in the Premier League. He also captained the side 140 times and became a huge favourite among supporters thanks to his commitment and leadership on and off the pitch.
Injuries have taken their toll in recent seasons, limiting the Republic of Ireland international to only a handful of appearances, including just one Premier League start this campaign.
Everton have offered Coleman a coaching role once his contract expires, although he says he will take some time during the summer before making a decision on the next chapter of his career.
His final home match for Everton is expected to come against Sunderland on Sunday, which is likely to be an emotional farewell for both the player and the fans.
