Nottingham Forest have announced that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties after just over three months at the club.
Dyche took over Forest in October becoming their third manager of the season, after Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou.
The club currently sit 17th in the Premier League, just three points above the relegation zone, after two wins in the Premier League. They were also knocked out of the FA Cup by Wrexham during this time leading to the club’s decision to sack the manager.
The club’s statement reads: “Nottingham Forest Football club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach.
We would like to thank Sean and his staff for their efforts during their time at the club and we wish them the best of luck for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time.”
Last season Forest finished seventh in the league and qualified for Europe for the first time since 1996.
