Seattle Sounders look to have identified a new goal scorer to try and revive their campaign, according to breaking news from The Athletic on Saturday.
MLS insider Tom Bogert, as well as Fabrizio Romano, have reported the West Coast club are on the verge of "acquiring" Dejan Joveljić from Sporting KC. The deal will include a "$6 million cash trade."
The 27-year-old Serbia international currently has eight goals and one assist to his name this season. Prior to joining Sporting, Joveljić ran amok in MLS while signed to LA Galaxy.
He impressed during the Galaxy's run to the MLS Cup title in 2024, notably registering 21 goals and eight assists in 33 games.
Those are figures Seattle hopes can help lift them up from 12th in the table.
