Sébastien Migné has left his role as Haiti head coach by mutual agreement after their World Cup campaign. The Haitian Football Federation said in a statement that Tuesday’s parting was amicable and reached by mutual consent.
Appointed in March 2024, the 53-year-old guided the 88th-ranked nation to a first World Cup since 1974, ending a 52-year wait. His tenure lasted a little over two years.
Haiti finished Group C with three defeats, losing 1-0 to Scotland, 3-0 to Brazil and 4-2 to Morocco, to end fourth.
Migné said the team had shown they belonged at this level, highlighting the two goals against Morocco and their resilience elsewhere. He was praised for professionalism, commitment and dedication, and thanked for his contribution to Haitian football.
Work to further structure and professionalise the game is to continue with the same ambition. Haiti will now move forward under a new head coach.
