Leon Goretzka is heading towards his final farewell from FC Bayern. After his last Bundesliga away game for the Munich side, the midfielder has two more competitive matches to play in an FC Bayern shirt – including a planned farewell party
The 1-0 win in Wolfsburg was anything but ideal for the 31-year-old. In the 26th minute, Goretzka received a powerful free-kick directly to the head from Wolfsburg’s Konstantinos Koulierakis. The international required treatment, initially continued to play, but complained of dizziness during the half-time break
Coach Vincent Kompany then pulled the ripcord and left Goretzka in the dressing room as a precaution. „He brutally hit the ball on the head with that free-kick,“ explained sporting director Christoph Freund after the game, adding: „He wasn’t feeling well during the break.“
Despite the scary moment, Goretzka is already focusing on the time after FC Bayern
As reported by the Münchner Merkur newspaper, the midfielder is planning a big farewell party in a private setting on Wednesday. What is particularly striking is that a strict dress code is to apply for the event, with guests having to wear all white
In addition to numerous Bayern players, selected club employees and companions are also to be invited. The planned „White Party“ is apparently already being seen internally as a symbolic farewell to the midfielder from the record champions

In line with this, rumors of a move to Italy are also continuing, with several Italian media outlets reporting in recent days that Goretzka has already agreed a three-year contract with AC Milan
According to the reports, the Rossoneri have beaten off some serious competition for the German international, with Arsenal, Juventus Turin, Atlético Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and SSC Napoli among those said to have shown an interest
This summer marks the end of a long era at Säbener Straße. Goretzka joined FC Bayern on a free transfer from FC Schalke 04 in 2018 and won the Champions League and several championships with the Munich club
The midfielder was one of the defining figures in the Bayern team, especially in the 2020 treble season.
