Seko Fofana could join Porto on six-month loan

According to L'Équipe, Rennes midfielder Seko Fofana could join Porto, the current leaders in Portugal, on a six-month loan with no option to buy.

The 30-year-old was left out of the squad to face Lorient on Saturday, and a move to the Dragons appears well advanced. Porto are ninth in the Europa League league phase.

Fofana arrived at Rennes in the 2025 winter window from Saudi club Al-Nassr in a €20m deal. He is under contract until 2029.

He has made 12 Ligue 1 appearances this season.

A starter early in 2025-26, he has fallen out of favour with head coach Habib Beye since the autumn.
